World War II veteran Al Yeager received a standing ovation from students, staff and guests at Apple Valley High Schools' Veterans Day Assembly Friday, November 11. This was the return of the popular annual event at Apple Valley after being canceled the last two years during COVID. Eagan High School also held a Veterans Day assembly event and Highland Elementary School held its annual flag raising ceremony to honor all veterans and active duty U.S. military personnel. Yeager, a 96-year-old Apple Valley resident, attended the event at Apple Valley with friend Bill Johnson of Eagan, a Navy Air veteran of the Korean War. Yeager served in the Army in central Italy during WWII. To watch a recording of the Veterans Day Assembly at Apple Valley High School, click here.
