The Apple Valley Eagles will take on the Chaska Hawks Friday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. as part of the second year of prep spotlight games at TCO Stadium on the Minnesota Vikings headquarters campus in Eagan.
The Eagan Wildcats played Farmington in the inaugural year of prep spotlight games at TCO Stadium last year. Vikings representatives say the annual event is part of the organization’s commitment to youth football and desire to showcase and grow the game at the high school level. The games are possible through a partnership between the Vikings and the Minnesota State High School League.
“High school football is one of our greatest traditions in America,” Minnesota Vikings General Manager Rick Spielman said. “The values and lessons our game teaches young people are foundations they carry on for the rest of their lives. We are proud to share our field with the next generation of football players and hope they make memories for a lifetime.”
Tickets for the Apple Valley vs. Chaska game will go on sale Friday, Sept. 20 at Apple Valley High School. District 196 employees will need to purchase a ticket for entry to TCO Performance Center. District badges will not be valid for this game.
The Vikings organization also wants fans to review the list of restricted items before arriving at TCO Stadium.
