(NEW) EASTVIEW GIRLS VARSITY VOLLEYBALL BEAT APPLE VALLEY 3-0

The Lightning bounced back from a tough road trip last weekend with a convincing win over the Apple Valley Eagles on Tuesday night. The team used tough serving, stifling defense, and smart offense to win the match in straight sets. The offense was led by juniors Lauren Crowl and Mack Dose, who combined for 20 kills. Junior Emma Grimm and senior Camille Roe combined for 9 aces to lead the serving for the Lightning. Senior libero Caylee Christian posted 16 digs to lead the defense and sophomore setter Tia Diamond helped the offense with 17 assists.

The team is back in action at home this Thursday against the Farmington Tigers. Come check out the free food and serving contest this Thursday at 7pm!!!

(NEW) JV BOYS SOCCER FALLS TO APPLE VALLEY EAGLES

In a well-matched first half, Eastview had several opportunities to score but Apple Valley was the first to get on the board on a free kick 25 minutes into the half. The Eagles finished the half with a 1 to 0 lead.

Apple Valley scored again early in the second half after lots of action in front of the net. Your Lightning answered back with a goal by midfielder Eddie Pacieznik assisted by Keenan “Peanut” Devine.

It was a physical match with lots of shots by Eastview, but the Lightning never took the lead. With less than five minutes left in the second half, the Eagles put one past goalie Sam Perona and beat the Lightning 3 to 1.
