PARENT SECTION

LIGHTNING CAFE OPENS TODAY

Have you missed the sweet smell of warm cookies coming from the Lightning Café?  Stop by starting Tuesday, September 17th when we open for the school year!  The café offers a variety of fruit, muffins, snacks and drinks in addition to those amazing chocolate chip cookies.  We’ll be there at 2:25pm every day--stop by to fuel up for your afterschool activities!

FROM OUR PAK (PARENTS ARE KEY) TEAM

Join us as we partner with Top 20 Teens author, Tom Cody, as we talk about parenting teens. Our first topic is a way of thinking, learning and communicating called living above the line. It works with everything from parenting to politics!! "The Line" is a lesson that we use with all of our EVHS 9th graders (our 10-12th graders have all heard it, too), so we want to create a shared perspective and vocabulary (teachers, students and parents all talking the same language...how powerful is that?!?!)! We are offering two sessions in hopes to provide an opportunity for EVERYONE who wants to attend: Wednesday, September 18th from 7:00pm - 8:30pm and Saturday, September 21st from 10:00am - 11:30am. Both sessions are the same, so pick one (and bring a friend!!).  As always, all EVHS PAK events are free and open to the public!
