ATHLETICS

(NEW) (Dec. 5)  BOYS VARSITY HOCKEY FALLS TO LAKEVILLE SOUTH 4-1

The Boys Varsity Hockey team was unable to overcome a barrage of Lakeville South shots as they dropped their home opener by a score of 4-1.  Bright spots for the Lightning included a power play goal by Ryan Quaintance (Caden EspindaBanick and Ben Malloy with the assists) and the steady goaltending of Bennett Weestrand between the pipes.   Shout out to the City of Apple Valley for their impressive renovations at the AVSA, including new glass and boards and even brighter lighting to allow the players to shine as they compete for the SSC title.  Congrats to Sam Reller, Gabe Tritschler, Ben Keefer, Jordan Larkee, Alex Chesek, Ryan Moline, Max Hansen, and Carter Jensen for making their home debuts in Eastview Lightning sweaters.  Next up for the Lightning is a road game against the Burnsville Blaze on Saturday night at 7pm.  Thanks again to a very supportive home crowd for the efforts in cheering on the squad.  #whateverittakes; #23-2; #nochuckapuckwinners
