(NEW) LEVY REFERENDUM BY THE NUMBERS

Levy Referendum by the Numbers: This week, District 196 released a new single-sheet flyer that uses key numbers to tell the story of why the district is asking for a levy referendum increase and what the additional funding would provide. There is also information on how to vote, which began September 20 via absentee balloting and continues through Election Day Tuesday, November 5, 2019. This is an important choice for our school district community. Please be informed and vote. For more information about the levy and how to vote, go to the Levy Referendum Website.

PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES

Please join us for Parent/Teacher Conferences this Thursday, October 10th from 5:00pm – 8:45pm and Friday, October 11th from 7:00am – 10:00am.  Conferences are drop-in format; no specific appointments are necessary.  Preview your student’s progress in Schoology, where you can see an update of their daily work.  Bring a printout of your student’s schedule (or access it on the Campus Portal app on your smartphone) and visit the teachers you wish to see.  Each conference is limited to approximately five minutes; longer discussions can be arranged with individual teachers as needed.  With multiple events taking place at EVHS on Thursday evening, parking lots will be full.  The West lots (along Flagstaff Avenue) should be your first choice, with the North lot (along 140th Street) and the Teen Center Lot (to the south off of Johnny Cake Ridge Road) as backup.  We hope to see you Thursday and/or Friday!

Attention all Fall Sport Student-Athletes and parents of all Fall Student-Athletes:  Many of our Fall sports have concluded their seasons and all of our Fall sports will be wrapping up in the coming weeks.  We ask that each student-athlete as well as parent/guardians of student-athletes take the time to fill out their survey:

Student-Athlete Survey               Parent/Guardian of Student-Athlete Survey

These anonymous surveys are also available to be filled out anytime throughout the year on the Eastview Athletics Website and provide valuable feedback to our coaching staff and athletic director as a part of the annual reflection process for each coach and program.  If you have a specific suggestion or concerns you would like to see addressed it is always recommended that you and/or your student athlete connect directly with the coach for the most immediate and individualized response.  Thanks!

A.R. Gurney's Pulitzer-nominated comedy is set in a typical well-to-do household where a family assembles daily for breakfast and dinner and for any and all special occasions. The action is comprised of a mosaic of interrelated scenes that are woven together—some funny, some touching, some rueful—which, taken together, teach us a great deal about ourselves and our families. 18 scenes and 59 characters combine to create a hilarious mirror into which we can view ourselves.
