ATHLETICS

EASTVIEW BOYS VARSITY SOCCER BEATS APPLE VALLEY 4-3, WINS SECTION 3AA

Thanks to all the fans who traveled to Hastings to watch your Lightning battle Apple Valley for the 3AA Section Championship.  The team really appreciates it.  The Lightning took an early lead with a goal from Senior Owen Johnson.  A goal from Senior Yamel Pantoja-Morales had the Lightning up 2-0 at halftime.  The second half started with a lot of back and forth play and Apple Valley managed to tie the game.  It was Freshman Nick Karam’s goal that put the Lightning ahead once again. But a last second goal by Apple Valley forced the game into overtime. Your Lightning dug deep and finally Yamel Pantoja-Morales came up with a goal to give your Lightning the Section 3AA Champions.
