Music and Dance
Music and dance are among the oldest known forms of human expression. In a world of rapidly expanding technology and information, we re-affirm our own humanity through the arts. Through creating and performing works of music and dance, we express our feelings and emotions, reflecting and reacting to the changing world around us. The music and dance program at EVHS offers students a broad range of courses designed to help them develop as artistic performers while gaining a lifelong appreciation for the arts and an understanding of the important role they continue to play in our culture.
All courses are offered as elective choices for students. All courses satisfy the arts graduation requirement. College admissions counselors consider performing arts classes evidence of a well-rounded student. Long-term success in the band, choir and dance programs often demonstrates the discipline and commitment necessary to succeed in college and most other endeavors.
