About Eastview Dance

The Eastview Dance Department is dedicated to supporting performing arts in our school and greater community. All dance forms, styles and ability levels are greatly valued regardless of each dancer’s experience. Many Eastview students are new to dance when they join the EVHS Dance Department. The program provides performance opportunities for all participants at various levels. The Dance Department is comprised of a variety of Eastview scholars who are involved in both athletics and other performing arts opportunities. In addition, both male and female students are well represented. Some of the department highlights are the quarterly dance shows which are hosted in our Performing Arts Center. These performances, which include professional lights and sound, are an opportunity for our students to showcase their work in a true performance setting. The curriculum covers a variety of dance genres, vocabulary, skills, technique, history, culture and student-lead choreography. Performers will discover their own artistry, confidence and creativity through the abundant dance opportunities offered at Eastview.
